On Friday, Haryana's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, intensified his criticism of Rahul Gandhi, accusing the Congress leader of spreading a 'false' agenda across the country due to the party's repeated electoral defeats. Saini stated that Gandhi had previously propagated a 'false' narrative regarding the Constitution and is now doing the same concerning the voter list.
In a post on X, Saini remarked, 'Rahul Gandhi is using the narrow margin of 22,779 votes by which Congress lost eight seats in the Haryana Assembly elections as an excuse for alleged electoral irregularities.'
Gandhi had claimed on Thursday that the difference in votes between Congress's victory and defeat in the Haryana Assembly elections was merely 22,779. Saini countered, 'If those 22,000 votes had gone to the BJP, we could have won at least ten more seats. The BJP faced losses in seven seats, including Loharu, Adampur, Rohtak, Sadhaura, Panchkula, Fatehabad, and Thanesar, with only a slight margin of 12,592 votes.'
The Chief Minister further urged Gandhi to stop disrespecting the public mandate and to take charge of his directionless, ineffective, and faction-ridden party.
Earlier on Thursday, Saini had also targeted the Congress leader, asserting that Rahul Gandhi had made numerous attempts to establish himself in politics over the past two decades but had failed each time. He added, 'Gandhi frequently makes unnecessary comments about India's constitutional institutions; criticizing the Election Commission to save his political existence is inappropriate.' Saini concluded by alleging that not only has Gandhi failed, but he has also dragged the entire Congress down with him.
